We are delighted to extend an invitation on behalf of CARE Hospitals and the Infection Control Academy of India (IFCAI) to attend the 12th National Certificate Course in Infection Prevention and Control.
In recent times, infection control has become a vital part of modern health services around the world. Hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) have become a major barrier to successful medical treatments and interventions. Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is witnessing an alarming rise globally, with India being specifically affected, in addition to the challenges posed by HAIs. This seriously threatens modern science as it renders existing treatments ineffective, resulting in longer hospital stays and higher medical costs. HAIs coupled with AMR affect treatment outcomes and lead to significant morbidity and mortality. Therefore, infection prevention and control have become the collective responsibility of all medical, paramedical, and administrative professionals in all hospitals globally. Achieving this requires a detailed understanding and rigorous practice of standard infection control procedures.
Patient safety is the foundation upon which modern medicine is built. It is a priority for healthcare providers, administrators, and patients. Ensuring Patient safety is impossible without controlling HAI and AMR. Healthcare stakeholders across the globe are now prioritizing IPC, AMS, and WASH to address these threats effectively.
The Infection Control Team at CARE Hospitals Nampally, led by Dr. Mustafa Afzal, has been a pioneer in infection control since 2012. The certification course, supported by the Infection Control Academy of India (IFCAI), has become a highly acclaimed training program running into its 12th consecutive year. Over this decade-long journey, more than 13,000 Health care workers - nurses, doctors, students, management and quality professionals have been trained in this scientific program making it immensely popular among all stakeholders involved. As we move forward with our mission to implement IPC knowledge to enhance patient outcomes and offer superior education and training opportunities in infection control practices each year, we remain committed to elevating it with innovative initiatives and higher standards of excellence.
We would be honoured if you could join us in our mission to reduce the global and regional burden of HAI. We look forward to meeting you in Hyderabad.
