Her academic journey is marked by notable achievements, beginning with an MBBS from Topiwala National Medical College and B.Y.L Nair Hospital in 2005. Dr. Sharma furthered her qualifications with D.N.B. in General Surgery at Jagjivan Ram Hospital, Western Railway, Mumbai Central, from 2006-09, and DNB in Peripheral Vascular Surgery at Army Hospital Research & Referral, Delhi University, New Delhi, in 2013.She made her mentors and alma mater proud by bagging GOLD MEDAL in DNB Peripheral Vascular surgery.

Dr. Sharma is recognized for her expertise in Varicose veins, Deep vein thrombosis, Pelvic vein disease, Limb bypass surgeries (open & Endovascular), Carotid artery stenosis, Cancer related surgeries and Vascular access procedures for Chronic Kidney disease patients. She is Diplomat of National board teaching faculty for Peripheral Vascular Surgery and conducts super specialty teaching programs for National board. Being a renowned faculty she has been invited to deliver talks at International vascular surgery conferences and has delivered till now 30 talks at various National & International Vascular surgery conferences. 

Apart from her academic accolades she has been pioneer in spreading vascular disease awareness in Telangana and Maharashtra by regular interactions with Anganwadi workers , National integrated Medical association and Association of Unani Medicine.
